The Curriculum Experience

The curriculum will be hosted in weekly, one-hour sessions that enable participants to develop their communication and leadership skills through the following:

• Evaluating their own speaking ability
• Preparing and giving speeches
• Giving impromptu talks
• Controlling their voice, vocabulary, and gestures
• Giving constructive feedback and more.

Our young men work hard so they play hard as well.  We celebrate accomplishments as learning and growing takes place. by hosting the following:

Our participants become contributing, experienced, and skillful young men with strategies and experiences that prepare them for college, career, and beyond.  These practices are not likely a part of the public school curriculum.

• Enhance planning, organizing, and time management skills
• Serve as evaluators to practice listening and critical thinking
• Become more self-confident and improve speaking skills
• Provide feedback as a form of leadership
• Support others in becoming more effective speakers
• Offer support for what peers do well and fair
• Track self-progress
• Introduce new words to members and use them in speeches
• Provide examples of good grammar and word usage
• Practice team-building skills
• Note unnecessary words and sounds used by members
• Identify words or phrases that may be used inappropriately or
• unnecessarily
• Learn business and entrepreneurial skills
• Reinvest in the community
